At Integral Health, we believe in the body’s ability to heal if the right treatment is provided at the right time to the right patient. We perform evidence-based, non-invasive, hands-on manual treatment to the nervous and musculoskeletal systems. Then, we teach specific mobility and strengthening exercises targeted to your condition. We also provide modalities such as laser therapy and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) to alleviate pain and aid with tissue healing.
We prioritize long term health and injury prevention by having many of our patients on monthly joint maintenance programs to keep their joints healthy as they get older.

Our team

Piramilan Thuraisingam
Piram graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Western Ontario. Piram’s physiotherapy practice utilizes manual therapy, fascia stretch therapy, soft tissue techniques, spinal manipulation, acupuncture, exercise prescription, postural education and other modalities to help resolve muscle and movement imbalances that lead to neuromusculoskeletal injury or impairment. Piram emphasizes patient education in his practice and understands the importance of active participation in the rehabilitation process to restore mobility and function and prevent further injury. Piram is actively pursuing post-graduate education courses to improve his knowledge and clinical skills in manual therapy, exercise prescription, and treatment of various musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. To maintain an active lifestyle, Piram participates in basketball, martial arts, yoga, and weight training.

Dr. Amy Woollacott
Dr. Amy Woollacott is a board certified Chiropractor and Acupuncture provider, and has been practicing since 2019. Dr. Woollacott received her Bachelor of Kinesiology Degree with Honours, and a Masters of Science Degree, in Exercise Science at Brock University. Dr. Woollacott graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, Ontario. Additionally, Dr. Woollacott is a certified Functional Integrated Acupuncture provider. She can help diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Woollacott has always been passionate about promoting healthy living and takes pride in helping individuals decrease pain, improve function and optimize their active lifestyles. She does this through patient-centered care, while combining the most up-to-date research and manual therapy techniques. Dr. Woollacott lives in Bowmanville, Ontario, and enjoys being an active member of the community.

Vithushan Navapalan
Vithushan is a Registered Massage Therapist that comes from a 10-year background in Sports Nutrition and Personal Training. He is licensed with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and is also a Fitness and Health Promotion graduate. He applies a hands-on approach to testing and treatment. His focus is to identify exactly what his clients need and simplify the steps to reaching their goals. He is experienced in Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, Trigger Point, Fascial, Cross Fibre Friction, and Joint Mobilization techniques. Vithushan is actively pursuing continuing education to expand his knowledge and skillset. His goal is to become an educator at some of the most prestigious massage therapy schools in the country to give back to the massage therapy community. When he is not in the clinic, you can find him in the weightroom, hitting pads or going on a long run.

Dr. Abey Thayaparan
Dr. Abey Thayaparan is a board-certified Chiropractor with a robust background in kinesiology and chiropractic techniques. Growing up in Toronto, Dr. Thayaparan developed a passion for health and wellness early on. He pursued his Bachelor of Kinesiology Degree with Honours from Ontario Tech University. Continuing his academic journey, he graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan University in Missouri. Dr. Thayaparan is proficient in advanced chiropractic techniques, including Cox Flexion Distraction and Thompson Technique, which allows him to deliver specialized and effective care to his patients. He is an active member of both the Ontario Chiropractic Association and the Canadian Chiropractic Association. Committed to promoting healthy living, Dr. Thayaparan focuses on providing patient-centered care, integrating the latest research and manual therapy techniques to optimize patient outcomes. His dedication to evidence-based practice ensures that his patients receive the highest quality of care. Currently residing in Pickering, Ontario, Dr. Thayaparan enjoys being an active member of the community. In his leisure time, he loves playing basketball and soccer, embodying his belief in maintaining an active lifestyle.
